• Set-up and development of an excellence research group at UPB, in the field of bio-products and hydrogen production, based on fundamental investigations that led to innovative processing techniques contributing to future scientific advances.
• The development of human resource - PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and researchers from Romanian research organizations.
• Various types of food bones waste selected and analyzed based on potential availability, source size, priority in disposal strategies.
• Fundamental study of different pyrolysis pathways for physical-chemical transformations mechanisms quantification and new chemical compounds synthesis.
• Fundamental study of different gasification pathways for physical-chemical transformations mechanisms quantification and H2 production.
• Numerical modelling and simulation of thermal processes.
• Development of meat, poultry and fish waste valorization as biomaterials, biochemicals and H2 using catalytic multi-stage pyrolysis and gasification.
• Microwave and ultrasound - assisted feedstock processing; new biobased catalyst development using end products from thermochemical processing.
• New tools for production of biobased materials, catalysts & Ca/P compounds.
• New materials utilization for biobased compounds production.
• The project results were disseminated on a large scale through publications in high quoted WOS journals, international conferences and organized workshops (see the Dissemination section) contributing to the enhancement of University POLITEHNICA Bucharest dissemination capacity and Romanian research international visibility.
